99Scholars was founded by Dr. Patrick Chu in 2013. Patrick was an Australian Endeavour Postgraduate Award recipient and got his PhD in Psychology in University of New South Wales. He got his BA in Linguistics at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He was a Young Scholar Award finalist at the International Conference on Chinese Language Learning and Teaching in the Digital Age. As a psycholinguist, he is interested in understanding how native and non-native speakers understand foreign accented speech. He is currently developing an academic event platform which aims to increase researchers' online presence. 99Scholars is actively supporting researchers and conference organizers to help them to disseminate their research to the general public through the use of social media and multimedia technology.
